Important Legislation Advise

The Building Regulations 2000 (H1 Foul water drainage - 2.21) as amended 2002. Requires that all kitchen drainage in commercial hot food premises should be fitted with an effective means of grease removal.

Dosing options

The photograph above shows the compact, easy to fit, Hydra Grease-Eater Auto dosing system. This type of dosing system is advantageous to those with high volumes of FOG production as it is fully automated and reduces blockages in your drainage system and formation of foul odours.

If you produce fairly low volumes of FOG's we also have the option for manual dosing with our 1 litre (for domestic use) or 5 litre (for domestic or low FOG volume use) bottles of Grease-Eater enzyme liquid.

How the Grease-Eater Dosing System Works

The easily adjusted timer pump adds a small amount of Hydra Grease-Eater directly into the pipe line feeding the fat trap and/or drain and is normally set to operate once a day after the kitchen has closed.

Hydra’s Grease-Eater system is only activated after work has finished and is easily adjustable for different work schedules. This ensures that the system is not only efficient but extremely cost effective.

Battery Operated - Zero Maintenance

No need for mains power. Powered by 8 no C cell batteries (supplied) which last for over a year, the unit also has a low battery warning light which comes on when there is 50 hours of battery life left.

Easy to Check Grease-Eater Solution Levels

The translucent 20 litre or 5 litre containers which sit in a white steel cradle enable instant check of fluid level.

Waterproof

IP 65 Rating which is dust and waterproof against strong jets of water - the pump can be fitted outside if required.
